Bojan Bogdanovic of the Detroit Pistons had a career-high performance the other day and the Los Angeles Lakers took notice.
That’s because it was against the Lakers that Bogdanovic was doing so well.
Following his breakout night, there were many people who thought that LA should angle to acquire Bogdanovic because he was doing everything that team needs.
"The Lakers have discussed sending a protected 1st round pick, as well as salary like a Patrick Beverley, to the Pistons for Bojan Bogdanovic… The holdup in that deal is that the Pistons really value Bojan."

Sure enough, the Lakers have reached out to the Pistons and tried to get something going.
So far, Detroit isn’t really listening.
Shams Charania recently revealed the behind-the-scenes work happening between both teams:
“The Lakers have discussed sending a protected first-round pick, as well as salary like a Patrick Beverley, to the Pistons for Bojan Bogdanovic. The hold up int hat deal is that the Pistons really value Bojan.”
You can’t blame the Pistons for wanting to hold onto Bogdanovic because he is playing incredibly well for them.
But will they listen to the Lakers if they make the deal even more enticing?
Trying To Bring In Bojan
Sure, the Pistons might not be open to the idea of trading away Bogdanovic for a single first-round pick and a player like Beverley, but maybe they will be enticed if more is included.
This is where things get dangerous for the Lakers.
The team could in fact add another first-round pick and even more assets to the package but that would drain them of any other possible trades in the near future.
Bogdanovic is a good player and he had a wonderful night but is he worth all of that?
Fans of the Lakers want a change and they want the team to commit to a big, smart trade.
But is this the one that LA should be pursuing?
