The Detroit Pistons have been through a lot this season.
However, they continue to try and go out there and compete hard, regardless of the opponent or the situation.
That’s why coach Monty Williams was sick and tired of watching his team be on the wrong end of bad calls.
The Pistons were up one point on the New York Knicks late in the game when Ausar Thompson got a clutch steal.

Donte DiVincenzo dove into his legs and should’ve been called for a loose ball foul, which wasn’t the case.
The Knicks got the ball back and Josh Hart got an and-one to seal the deal.
Following the game, Williams didn’t mince his words against the officials, stating that it was the absolute worst call — or no-call — of the season (Via Bleacher Report).

Williams said that all he asks for is a fair game, adding that he’s tired of his players asking him what more they can do to win games.
Truth be told, this was a big blunder by the referees, but they’re not to blame for their league-worst record.
The Pistons have plenty of talent in their ranks and should’ve fared much better this season, and fans and analysts are starting to question whether Monty Williams should be to blame for their shortcomings and lack of development.
Whatever the case, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the Pistons protest this game, and the league should most definitely give them an opportunity to play out these final seconds again.
