The Detroit Pistons are currently on pace to finish the season with the worst record in NBA history.
Monty Williams’ team is desperately trying to salvage what’s left of the campaign without putting their future at risk.
With that in mind, they’re reportedly looking forward to making a deal with the Chicago Bulls for star G/F Zach LaVine, according to James Edwards of The Athletic (via Evan Sidery).
The Pistons and Bulls have been in discussions on a Zach LaVine trade, per @JLEdwardsIII (https://t.co/p77Mqv9jFw).

The Bulls could look to land Bojan Bogdanovic and one of their core players.
However, the Pistons reportedly have no interest in including potential franchise cornerstones like Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey, Jalen Duren, or Ausar Thompson in any potential trade.
Needless to say, that makes it more challenging to get a deal done.
With those players out of the picture, the Bulls could only aspire to get Isaiah Stewart or James Wiseman, neither of which has much trade value on their own.
LaVine has grown very frustrated with the Bulls organization, and it seems like he’s never been on the same page with coach Billy Donovan.
Still, he might not be that desperate to get away from Chicago and go to the worst team in the league, but he could definitely raise their ceiling and perhaps be the missing piece they need.
His trade value has plummeted this season.
He’s struggled to stay healthy and seems to have some character issues, not to mention the fact that he’s making a lot of money to be a second or third-scoring option on a contender.
