Just a few seasons ago, Joe Harris was leading the NBA in three-point shooting and had become an essential part of the Brooklyn Nets.
Sadly, he has experienced injuries and setbacks recently and is now without a team.
Shams Charania is reporting that the Detroit Pistons are waiving Harris after just 16 games with the team this season.

So far this year, Harris has averaged 2.4 points in only 10.6 minutes per game.
Harris was acquired by the Pistons last summer as part of a salary-dump trade and didn’t get much time to prove his worth to Detroit.
Ankle injuries have repeatedly gotten in Harris’ way but the 32-year-old is hoping to remain in the league and might find another team that can get him healthy again and give him a chance to shine.
When healthy, Harris could be a huge asset to several teams.
He led the NBA in three-point percentage back in 2018-19 and 2020-21.
During those seasons, he was landing 47.4% and 47.5% of his threes.
A new NBA rule restricts teams whose salaries are above the first tax apron from signing stars who have a salary that exceeds the mid-level exception.
In other words, there are only a few teams that could sign Harris and they include the Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, and Phoenix Suns.
Is there a chance that Harris could rejoin his old Nets teammate Kevin Durant in Phoenix?
Or perhaps he could once again play alongside his other Nets teammate, James Harden, in Los Angeles.
The Pistons have been making trades over the last day and their roster was just too full, leading to them waiving Harris.
Now the sharpshooter is on the hunt for a new home.
