The 6-18 Detroit Pistons embarrassed the 10-11 Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night.
Most expected the Mavs to pull out a victory, even with the recent troubles they have had.
That’s because the Pistons are currently the second-worst team in the East and are without their star player, Cade Cunningham.
It should’ve been easy for the Mavericks but they got worked, losing 131-125 in overtime.

Killian Hayes was all over that major win.
Hayes isn’t a player spoken about by many basketball fans but he was the talk of the NBA world on Thursday.
He scored 22 points, 4 rebounds, and 8 assists.
And he was clutch as the game to a close, shooting 14 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter and overtime.
Over his last 13 games, Hayes has averaged 12.1 points, 5.8 assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.5 steals on a 44.4% field goal percentage and 37.5% from the three.
Is Hayes now officially on the radar of NBA fans throughout the league?
Hayes Is Here
Pistons fans are elated to see the praise being directed at Hayes.
For years now, they have said he’s the real deal and one of the next big things in the league.
He was drafted back in 2020 as the 7th overall pick.
Since then, he has gotten a lot of flak from some who said he wasn’t meeting expectations and should not have been such a high draft pick.
Meanwhile, he’s been working away in Detroit, tweaking his game and becoming more comfortable on the court.
He’s having his best season yet, with 7.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 4.6 assists a game.
But it was the way he played on Thursday that is getting so much attention: he was performing like a tuned-in and aggressive player who felt confident of his abilities and driven to win.
