For the last few months, it seems like every NBA team has been eyeing Bojan Bogdanovic of the Detroit Pistons.
Even though the forward has been in the league for eight years now, he has really been shining brightest in 2022-23.
For the season, Bogdanovic has produced 21.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists on a strong 48.7% field goal percentage.
The Pistons are a deeply troubled team, years away from being true contenders, so many people have assumed that Bogdanovic would be used as a trade asset before the deadline or in the offseason.

But those people should temper expectations.
Bogdanovic recently said that his team sees him as a “core member” of the future.
According to NBA journalist Mike Scotto, Bogdanovic said, “They assured me that we’re going to be great next year. We have a lot of cap space to sign great players.”
While that might be what the player was told by his team, rumors around the league say the Pistons could be keen to trade Bogdanovic, for the right price.
The latest reports state that they want a lot for the forward, including a first-round draft pick.
There are multiple teams who have inquired about Bogdanovic but a lot of speculation has centered around the Los Angeles Lakers.
They desperately want an experienced shooter like him and also have the draft picks that Detroit desires.
But all reports from inside LA’s front office say that they don’t want to part ways with their picks.
However, these latest comments from Bogdanovic suggest that perhaps they couldn’t get him even if they wanted.
How committed to Bogdanovic are the Pistons?
We will find out by the time next season rolls around.
