The Sacramento Kings aren’t only doing well right now – they are doing really well.
They took down the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, beating that youthful team 137-129.
But that wasn’t the only win they’ve had recently.
In fact, the Kings have now won six games in a row, including against teams like the Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, and others.
There was a lot of hope among fans that the Kings were going to have a special season and, so far, they are.

This is the team’s first 6-game winning streak since January of 2005 – that’s nearly two decades.
The Kings are definitely living up to expectations right now and there is a good chance that they could make the playoffs for the first time in years.
The Beam Team is one to believe in.
The Rising Kings
Sacramento has been quietly putting together a special team over the last few years.
They stepped it up even more in the summer, with the acquisitions of Kevin Huerter, Malik Monks, and others.
Because of this new talent, and the hard work of head coach Mike Brown, the Kings are now the 5th team in the West, something they haven’t achieved in years.
They currently sit ahead of teams such as the Memphis Grizzlies, Los Angeles Clippers, and Dallas Mavericks.
Will they be able to stay in that position for long?
The fear is that the rest of the West will get stronger in the weeks and months ahead and start to push the Kings out.
But there is no sign of that happening yet, as the Kings have continued to perform well and impress and shock the rest of the league.
