The Pascal Siakam trade saga has gained a lot of attention in the NBA over the last few weeks.
Considering Siakam is on an expiring contract and could very well leave the Toronto Raptors for free this summer, the organization is doing its best to find a good trade for him.
With the Raptors actively shopping for a good trade package for Siakam, many reports have suggested that the Sacramento Kings are apparently interested in trading for the 2x NBA All-Star.
While the Kings may manage to offer an intriguing deal to the 29-year-old, Pascal Siakam is reportedly uninterested in committing to a long-term deal with the Kings, as revealed via NBACentral on Twitter.
“Siakam has not asked for a trade, the sources say he doesn’t view the Kings as a good long-term fit if the Raptors choose to move him,” Sam Amick reported.

As mentioned above, Siakam is searching for a place where he could sign a maximum contract after his current deal expires.
Considering the Sacramento Kings already have De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis on big deals, the organization won’t be able to keep Pascal Siakam on the roster for a long time by handing him a lucrative deal.
If Siakam tries the open market, he could sign a contract worth $184.2 million over four years with a rival team.
On the other hand, he could get a contract extension of up to $192 million with the Raptors if he decides to stay with the team.
Either way, the Sacramento Kings simply do not have enough cap space to keep Siakam on the roster for the future without gutting the depth of the roster.
Siakam is averaging 22.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game this season.
