Over the last few weeks, Toronto Raptors star Pascal Siakam has created a lot of buzz in the NBA trade market.
While the player hasn’t demanded a trade from the Raptors, many reports have suggested that the organization is ready to move on from him.
A key reason behind it is the fact that the Raptors recently traded away OG Anunoby, which means that the team is likely heading toward a rebuild.
Considering Siakam still has the potential to become an NBA All-Star this season, he becomes a valuable trade piece for the organization.
NBA insider Michael Scotto recently revealed the reported trade package submitted to the Raptors by the Sacramento Kings via NBACentral on Twitter.
“I had heard that the Sacramento talks for Siakam centered primarily around Harrison Barnes, Kevin Huerter, Davion Mitchell and a first-round pick or so of potential draft pick compensation of a first-round variety for Siakam in those talks,” Scott said.

As per Scotto, the Kings’ potential package for the veteran forward reportedly featured Harrison Barnes, Kevin Huerter, Davion Mitchell, and a future first-round draft pick in exchange for Pascal Siakam.
Considering Siakam is still 29 years old and he could still be an elite player as the second or third option on an NBA Championship contender, the trade package is certainly justified for him.
This season, Siakam has averaged 22.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game for the Raptors over 37 appearances.
The Kings currently have a 22-14 record in the 2023-24 NBA season and hold the fifth seed in the Western Conference.
