Most people thought that the Chicago Bulls would be able to pull out a win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night.
But when the dust settled and the game was done, the Bulls lost 124-110 to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and his youthful group of up-and-comers.
This was a painful loss for the Bulls for a number of reasons and it’s the continuation of a troubling trend.

Chicago has dropped 3 in a row to fall to 19-24 on the season

As noted by Jamal Collier, Chicago has now dropped 3 games in a row to fall to 19-24 for the season.
That means they are now 11th in the East, outside of playoff contention, and just shy of even qualifying for the play-in tournament.
This is just the latest bad news for the Bulls, who have had a very rough season that has left fans shaking their heads and wondering what went wrong.
At this time last season, the Bulls were looking like legitimate contenders, possibly even a team who could surge all the way to the Finals.
A slew of nasty injuries and tough competitors would prevent that but there was hope they could enter 2022-23 in a positive, strong position.
They didn’t.
Before the loss to the Thunder, the Bulls were defeated by the Washington Wizards and Boston Celtics.
To be fair, they have been doing this mostly without DeMar DeRozan, their team’s biggest talent.
But even Zach LaVine‘s recent explosion on the court hasn’t been enough to stop the losses.
Coming up next for the Bulls will be the Golden State Warriors, Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks, Indiana Pacers, and others.
You would think they could secure a few victories during that time but the team has shown that they cannot be counted on, even when things seem to be positioned in their favor.
