Lonzo Ball was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
Being a lottery pick, Ball obviously had high expectations surrounding him for his NBA career.
Although Ball was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers, he truly hit his stride during his two-season run with the New Orleans Pelicans.
However, Ball joined the Chicago Bulls ahead of the 2021-22 NBA season via a sign-and-trade.
Ball was expected to hit his stride as an NBA player during his stint with the Bulls, but he suffered an excruciating injury after playing just 35 games for the organization.
Since then, Ball has been sidelined due to recovery and is yet to play even a single game in more than two years.
But on a positive note, Bulls head coach Billy Donovan shared an update about his recovery, via Tomer Azarly.
Per Donovan, Ball is sprinting and cutting on the court once again.
Bulls coach Billy Donovan says guard Lonzo Ball has started sprinting and cutting on the court and has responded well to it so far.

Ball was a standout performer for UCLA during his collegiate career, but the transition to the NBA hasn’t been easy for him.
Initially, he had to deal with the bright lights of Los Angeles while being a member of the Lakers.
Sure, he enjoyed a good spell with the Pelicans, but Ball’s stint with the Bulls has been plagued with injuries.
Although Ball has been out of action for more than two seasons, he is expected to make a great impact for the Bulls if he returns to the court for the 2024-25 NBA season.
