Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls changed the game forever.
They took the NBA to every corner on Earth, making it a global tournament and putting all eyes on hoops for the first time since the Magic Johnson – Larry Bird rivalry.
Jordan dominated like no other player, preventing countless legends from even getting a taste of the NBA Finals, let alone a championship.
His ability to make an impact on both ends of the floor made him the undisputed best player in the world and, to most fans, the best player of all time.
However, it’s also fair to state that he had an elite sidekick in Scottie Pippen.
Pippen has spent the past couple of years trying to discredit Jordan and everything he did, most likely out of spite for how he was portrayed in his documentary.
That’s why it was a shocking turn of events to see the legendary forward finally giving No. 23 his flowers, calling him the greatest basketball player ever (Via Dunk Central).
“You look at the MVP’s he was able to achieve. But I think it was all brought from us being successful as a team. Obviously, someone is going to bring those accolades home. But, yeah, he was the greatest player definitely in basketball,” Pippen said.
Scottie Pippen says Michael Jordan is ‘for sure’ the greatest ever

Pippen was the perfect complement for Jordan, and MJ always had nothing but praise for him, making it loud and clear that he never would have won without him.
Hopefully, this will be the first step towards reconciliation, as Pippen’s reputation has taken a bit of a hit lately, not for the documentary, but because of how he’s tried to build his brand off taking Michael Jordan down.
It’s not a good look for one of the greatest to ever do it.
