Dennis Rodman’s NBA legacy is a complicated one.
Considered to be the greatest rebounder of all time and one of the best defensive players in league history, he’s also known for his larger-than-life persona, eccentricities, and blazing hot takes.
Nonetheless, despite his long and well-documented history of chaos and mayhem, he’s also a big fan favorite and one of the most beloved players of all time.
That was on full display again on Saturday when he attended the Chicago Bulls’ game, with the crowd giving him a warm welcome (via Bulls Talk).

Rodman’s presence was a bit of a lucky charm for Billy Donovan’s team, as they got past the Washington Wizards to keep their postseason hopes alive.
Rodman was instrumental in three NBA championships for this organization.
He was a never-ending source of energy, a guy who would out-hustle everybody else on the court, and who would put his body on the line on every single possession, regardless of the scoreboard, the rival, or the instance.
Even if he didn’t always put the game first and his lifestyle wasn’t what one would expect from a professional athlete, Rodman was always ready and was always going to make an impact.
That’s why the fans will always love him, as you don’t see players bringing that kind of passion, energy, and physicality to the court in today’s game anymore.
