It has been nearly a year since Lonzo Ball played a game of basketball for his Chicago Bulls.
On January 14, 2022, Ball injured his left knee and has been on the sidelines since then.
The team has desperately missed Ball but there hasn’t been much significant progress.
Although many expected to see him perform well in the 2022-23 season, some are now thinking that perhaps he will sit the entire season out.

KC Johnson gave some insight into Ball’s progress the other night and it’s not the sort of news that fans wanted.
He said that there has been progress but it’s been minimal and “very, very slow.”
This came hot on the heels of Ball posting a video of himself on Instagram in which he was seen dunking and working on the practice court.
There is still pain and discomfort in Ball’s knee but supposedly it’s less pain and discomfort than he was feeling just a few weeks ago.
If Ball heals as planned, he will then need to spend some time ramping up his basketball activities because he hasn’t played the game in so long.
That means that even if Ball just gets better and better, we are still looking at a long time before he’s playing for the Bulls again.
This again raises the question: will Chicago get their star back this season?
It’s possible, although not probable.
It is also possible that the Bulls trade Ball away during a major restructuring if they decide to blow the team up and build it up from scratch.
There are many unknowns about Ball’s future with the Bulls.
