The Chicago Bulls just lost Zach LaVine for the remainder of the season.
Even with him, Billy Donovan’s team was struggling to stay afloat and compete at a high level, alternating wins with losses and failing to keep up with the powerhouses in the Eastern Conference.
So, now that a LaVine trade could be all but out of the question, the Bulls could pivot and shift their attention toward moving other veteran players.
Needless to say, that means multiple teams could and should be in the mix to get Alex Caruso.
With that in mind, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports that the Bulls could fetch an ‘OG Anunoby-type deal’ for the former NBA champion (via NBA Central).

For those who don’t remember, the Raptors got RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, and a second-round pick in the deal that sent Anunoby and role players to the New York Knicks.
Caruso is a bonafide winner and a proven player in this league, one of the best perimeter defenders in the game, and a guy who will take pride in guarding the opposing team’s best scorer.
He’s the ultimate energy guy, and the kind of role player who could turn a good team into a great one, and he should have at least five suitors for his services.
The Bulls could also part ways with DeMar DeRozan, who’s on an expiring deal and unlikely to resign with a team that has no chance of competing for an NBA championship in the foreseeable future.
