One of the best stories of the 2022-23 NBA season so far is the success of the Sacramento Kings.
True, the team is currently in a bit of a rough patch and have lost three in a row but their 7th seed position in the West is way better than anything they’ve experienced in nearly two decades.
They are playing very well and have many great, promising superstars.
They also have a new head coach, Mike Brown, who is fitting in quite well with the squad.
An awesome moment from the first half where Coach Mike Brown is shown explaining the defensive rotation he wants Terence Davis to be making.

On Monday night, eagle-eyed fans caught a very special moment between Brown and Terence Davis.
Brown took to the court to show Davis the way he wanted him to play defense and possibly draw a foul.
Later in the game, Davis did exactly as he was asked and did in fact earn his foul.
And Brown’s reaction was eruptive and joyful, as he pumped his fists in the air with pride and happiness for Davis.
This just shows how special Brown is and how much he really does want his young team to succeed.
The Kings are lucky to have him.
Brown’s Big Job
Of course, this isn’t Brown’s first head coaching position in the NBA but it’s possibly his most consequential one.
Brown was given a huge task when he signed on to lead the Kings.
The team has been at the bottom of the Western Conference for years now and the thought of making the playoffs has become a pipe dream.
That’s not the case anymore.
Brown has relied on his youthful squad in some smart ways and has helped them all dig deep, believe in themselves, and strive for greatness.
With a mix of great talent and great coaching, the Kings are finally making some serious noise in the West again.
