This is a very interesting, fluid time for the Atlanta Hawks.
Right now, all attention is being paid to the search for a new head coach after the firing of Nate McMillan.
It seems very likely that Quin Snyder, former coach of the Utah Jazz, will acquire that job and he will likely be a great fit for the young team.
But what about the future of the team’s biggest star, Trae Young?
For months now, we have heard about Young’s displeasure with the direction the team was headed in.
Will the firing of McMillan be enough to satisfy him?
Jared Weiss on the #Hawks potentially trading Trae Young:
“I expect that Atlanta is going to start exploring it, and it’s going start getting out this summer.”

NBA insider Jared Weiss isn’t so sure.
Speaking to The Athletic, Weiss said, “I expect that Atlanta is going to start exploring [trading Young], and it’s going to start getting out this summer.”
If the Hawks do choose to put Young on the market, it would be a huge moment for the team and the rest of the league.
With his 26.7 points and 10.3 assists a game, Young is one of the most coveted guards in the NBA.
The 24-year-old does not come without some problems (inconsistency, personality issues) but he is definitely a two-time All-Star for a reason.
There would be a bunch of teams lining up to land him if the Hawks entertain a trade.
But Atlanta wouldn’t let him go for just any package.
They would sit on their hands and retain Young until the perfect trade deal came along.
Of course, this might be a moot point if Snyder joins the Hawks and they are able to turn their troubled season around.
If the Hawks rebound, Young might want to stay comfortable and happy in Atlanta.
