The 2024 NBA All-Star Game is almost upon us, and the league recently revealed the complete list of players who earned the honor for both conferences.
Evidently, there were a few players who were snubbed from the list in each conference.
Speaking of the Eastern Conference, one of the biggest snubs was none other than Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young.
Sure, the Hawks aren’t having an excellent season, but it doesn’t take away from what Young has been doing for the franchise.
Many fans were surprised that Young did not make the All-Star game, including Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, who tweeted in support of the 25-year-old star.
“He be cooking every night! Stop it! He’s an All-Star,” James tweeted.
AGREED!!! I’m not quite understanding this! Cause it can’t be about Ws/Ls cause cats have definitely gotten in with wayyy nastier records in the past. He be cooking EVERY NIGHT! Stop it! He’s an All-⭐️ for sure. Something is REAL 🐠-E. 🤔

LeBron James posted in agreement to a fan’s account on Twitter, which expressed it’s anger about Young not making the 2024 NBA All-Star game despite averaging more than 27.0 points per game and 10.0 assists per game.
The account also pointed out that not many realize how difficult it is for Young, who is just 6’1″, to average the above-mentioned numbers consistently during his career.
Coming back to James’ tweet, the 39-year-old superstar pointed out that over the past few years, making the NBA All-Star game has become more about a team’s record rather than a player’s individual brilliance.
To put things into perspective, the Atlanta Hawks currently have a 21-27 record this season as they remain the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference.
However, Trae Young has averaged 27.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 11.0 assists per game for the Hawks in 43 appearances this season.
It’s no doubt that Young should have been named an NBA All-Star this season.
