The Atlanta Hawks have struggled to play well this season despite having one of the best players in the league on the roster.
Yes, we are talking about none other than Trae Young, who is undoubtedly an elite point guard.
As good as Young is, the Hawks have failed to provide him with a great roster to compete in the postseason.
Keeping that in mind, many trade rumors have featured Young’s name lately.
Young was asked about his thoughts on the aforementioned rumors, and the 3-time NBA All-Star mentioned that he wants to stay with the Hawks, via JJ on Twitter.
“Obviously my mindset is staying in Atlanta right now,” Young said.

While Young claimed that he wants to stay with the Hawks for now, many believe there is still a chance that he could leave the team this summer.
Young has been linked to several contenders over the past few weeks, including the Los Angeles Lakers.
Considering Young possesses an elite scoring and playmaking ability, he could become an excellent addition to the Purple and Gold.
After all, his arrival to the Lakers would give birth to a new Big 3 of Young, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis.
As for Young’s numbers, he has averaged 26.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 10.9 assists per game for the Hawks.
Unfortunately, Young’s numbers haven’t translated into wins for the Hawks this season.
The organization has struggled throughout the season as they currently have a 24-31 record and remain the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference.
