Grand Theft Alvarado
This is Alvarado’s second year in the league and it promises to be a very important one for the young star.
He was doing satisfactory work with the Pels last year but really got noticed by many during the playoffs, when he was hounding Chris Paul of the Phoenix Suns and showing off his personality, style, and skills.
This season, the guard is averaging 10 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.3 coming off the bench.
The Pelicans signed Alvarado as an undrafted free agent last year and he spent some time perfecting his skills in the G League.
As he got more time with the team, he got more appreciation and love from the fans, who are excited to see how much he can grow.
ESPN says that Alvarado’s 38 are the most points ever scored by an undrafted player coming off the bench since 1970-1971.
What a night for the talented, up-and-coming star.
