The New Orleans Pelicans have bet on the rise of Zion Williamson to lead the franchise to success.
Williamson is already in his fifth NBA season and has struggled to find consistency in the league.
The former number one overall pick has primarily dealt with health issues that have kept him sidelined for a plethora of games.
However, Williamson has seemingly found a way to stay healthy this season.
He has played 55 games this season, just short of his career-high of 66 games in a campaign.
Williamson showcased his talent during the Pelicans’ recent matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers.
After the game, Williamson sent a clear message via ClutchPoints.
“I’m a competitor. I want to win, simple as that,” Williamson said.

Being a top-notch superstar in the NBA takes more than having a phenomenal skill set to play basketball.
Having a winning mentality is equally important to being regarded as a great player.
As for his performance against the Clippers, Williamson put the Pelicans on his back by contributing 34 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block in 35 minutes of playing time.
Williamson’s scoring outburst helped the Pelicans get a solid 112-104 win over the Clippers.
The Pelicans now have a 40-26 record this season.
