The Los Angeles Clippers are viewed as a top team in the Western Conference.
Although the Clippers have played well for the majority of the season, they are currently in a slump.
The Clippers have split their last 10 games of the season with a 5-5 record.
The organization was expected to get a win against the New Orleans Pelicans in their recent matchup.
However, Zion Williamson’s 34-point scoring outburst ruined the night for the Clippers.
Apart from having a huge impact on the offensive end of the floor, Williamson also took command of defending Kawhi Leonard during crucial plays in the game.
After the game, Trey Murphy revealed that Williamson asked to guard the Clippers star, via Pelicans Film Room.
“At the end of the game I was like ‘I got Kawhi’ and he said ‘nah I got him,'” Murphy said.
"At the end of the game I was like 'I got Kawhi' and he said 'nah I got him.' I was like 'hey man I'm not gonna fight you on that one'… He understands what time it is"

Leonard finished the game with 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Apart from scoring 34 points, Williamson contributed 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block to the Pelicans in the eight-point win.
The Pelicans are playing well this month as they have a solid 5-1 record.
Williamson’s play is a key factor in the recent surge for the Pelicans.
It wouldn’t be surprising if he leads the Pelicans to a deep run in the postseason.
