Over the past five games or so, New Orleans Pelicans superstar forward Zion Williamson has taken his game to another level while apparently having recently lost 25 pounds and having a bit more bounce than he’s had throughout the 2023-24 NBA season.
Although the Pelicans have played well with Williamson not exactly being himself statically this season, New Orleans is obviously that much better when their high-flying act consistently puts in work on the basketball floor.
Williamson has helped lead the Pelicans to four wins in the last five games he has put up 26 or more points in each of those games while looking like the player that the team drafted out of Duke University a few years ago.
The Pelicans are currently one of the hottest teams in the NBA at the right time, with the NBA playoffs right around the corner, as the team has won eight out of the last 10 games and is threatening to move up to the fourth seed in the Western Conference, which would move them ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers.
With Williamson and the Pelicans coming on strong, Pat McAfee of ESPN had to show some love on his show for the once-struggling forward.
“Zion Williamson is the real deal,” McAfee said. “How awesome is this? Legit. This is years in the making. This is great for our lives as well.”

Hopefully, for the sake of Williamson and New Orleans, the young forward can continue taking care of his body and playing at a high level, as the Pelicans could become a very dangerous team in the postseason.
Only time will tell if Williamson can pull this off, but so far, things are trending up in New Orleans.
