On Tuesday, Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans exploded on the court with a monster dunk that was still being talked about on Wednesday morning.
JJ Redick appeared on “First Take” and spoke about how impressive Williamson has been lately.
Redick said that Williamson looks in shape and is averaging nearly 30 points during his last five games.
Calling Williamson “the most electric” player in the league right now, Redick made it clear that he believes the Pelicans are on the rise.

Over the last five games, Williamson has averaged 29.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.
To Redick’s point, he has definitely looked healthy and in shape and has shed the excess weight that some fans complained about earlier in the season.
The Pelicans are currently the fifth-best team in the West with a 42-26 record.
They are right behind the Los Angeles Clippers and could easily be the fourth seed in the days ahead.
That means the Pelicans are in a better position for the postseason than they have been in years.
It’s not just Williamson who is doing so much for the team.
Other players, like Brandon Ingram, CJ McCollum, Herb Jones, and others have put this team on the right track.
After years of injuries and false starts, the Pelicans are looking very good.
But how far can they go in the playoffs?
They have won seven of their last eight games and seem to be heating up at the right time, just weeks before the postseason kicks off.
The Pelicans will next face off against the Orlando Magic, Miami Heat, and Detroit Pistons as they conclude this brief road trip.
Will they be the fourth seed by the time they get back home to New Orleans?
