The New Orleans Pelicans cannot catch a break.
Once again, one of their star players will be on the shelf because of injuries.
This time, it’s Brandon Ingram’s turn to be on the sidelines.
Fortunately for them, it shouldn’t be for long.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the talented small forward avoided serious injury, but he’ll still have to miss at least two weeks with a bone contusion in his left knee.

Ingram has struggled with injuries for most of his career.
On the flip side, Zion Williamson finally seems to be healthy.
He’s shed plenty of weight since the start of the season, showcasing his unmatched athleticism and high-flying ability over the past couple of months.
Now, the former No. 1 pick will have to do all the heavy lifting while his fellow forward works his way back to the court.
The Pelicans have always been particularly cautious with their young stars, and they know they cannot risk a setback at this point in the season with the playoff just around the corner.
They’ve been one of the most consistent and competitive teams in the league this season, and everybody knows just how special they can be when they’re at full strength.
Hopefully, the former Los Angeles Lakers first-round pick will be able to get back on the court in due time and not suffer any setbacks.
This team is just too talented, but they cannot seem to stay healthy when it counts.
