The Atlanta Hawks handed the New York Knicks a heartbreaking loss on Tuesday night, taking down the troubled team, 117-111.
It was a great game with a lot of back-and-forth action and energy that is usually only reserved for the postseason.
But in the end, the Hawks and their star player, Trae Young, got the last laugh again.
The Return to the City was cool… real cool🤫

Following the big win, Young took to Twitter to lay it on a little thick and troll the New York crowd.
He tweeted, “The Return to the City was cool…real cool,” followed by a snowflake emoji, signifying just how ice-cold Young is.
His tweet was also a direct reference to Young’s performance in last year’s playoffs.
Ice In His Veins
Young has quickly become a huge villain in New York City.
It’s been a long time since the Knicks’ fanbase have despised someone as much as they do Young.
Where does this all come from?
It started last season when the Knicks went head-to-head against the Hawks in the first round of the playoffs.
The Knicks were on a high at that point, sitting at the fourth seed in the East and playing better than they had in years.
But it wasn’t enough to overcome the Hawks, who defeated New York, 4-1.
Young’s theatrics and personality were on full display during those games.
He dramatically shrugged his shoulders after incredible shots, showing that he had ice in his veins and couldn’t be stopped.
He was met with boos – and worse – from the crowds at Madison Square Garden.
Those boos returned on Tuesday night but they didn’t slow Young down one bit.
He put up 45 points in Tuesday’s win.
Because of that, his villain status in New York remains.
