The Toronto Raptors have been up and down this season, and that’s not an encouraging trend.
There has been just so much speculation about the team’s veterans dating back to last season, and it’s clearly taking a toll on their chemistry.
When asked about the struggles, veteran forward OG Anunoby wanted to make it loud and clear that it’s not like they’re not trying or don’t care; it’s just a learning process and they’re trying to figure things out (Via Sportsnet).
“We don’t want to lose games. I think it’s just a process.”

A lot has changed up north this season.
A new coach, a new point guard, a rising star demanding more touches, and two veterans most likely to head out the door before the trade deadline isn’t a recipe for success in this league.
Scottie Barnes seems poised to be a star and the franchise player they thought he’d be, but the team needs to maximize the talent around him to have a shot at making the playoffs.
That most likely means parting ways with Pascal Siakam and Anunoby, as they could both garner a very valuable trade package involving both young players and picks.
Masai Ujiri hasn’t fully embraced a rebuild since Kawhi Leonard left; he’s always believed his team is good enough to compete.
But the numbers speak for themselves, and with the veterans’ current contract situation, it seems like the inevitable cannot be delayed any longer.
The Raptors need to make moves and turn the page, and hopefully, it won’t be long before they go back to their winning ways.
