Many people were surprised the other day when the Indiana Pacers sent Bruce Brown to the Toronto Raptors as part of the package deal featuring Pascal Siakam.
Brown had only been with the Pacers for a few months so some fans were left dumbfounded by the move.
As surprising as it was, it might not be Brown’s last move this season.
The champion is receiving interest from multiple teams and the Raptors might trade him before the upcoming deadline.
According to Shams Charania, via Evan Sidery, the Raptors could gain an “additional first-round pick in return for Bruce Brown.”
The reporting says that Brown’s value “appears to be a 1st and necessary salary filler to match his $22 million contract.”

That could be quite the haul for the Raptors and it would be understandable if they commit to a trade soon.
So far this season, Brown has averaged 12.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3 assists per game on 48.1% from the floor.
Just like he was for the Denver Nuggets last season, he could serve a vital purpose for multiple teams and could be a reliable, strong role player.
His special brand of shooting and energy would fit in well with a number of franchises across the league.
But if the Raptors do elect to part ways with Brown, they will want a lot in exchange for him.
Which team would be willing to put up the necessary cash and draft picks to get him?
The Raptors are reportedly not done making moves and Brown might not be the only one who leaves.
If Toronto plays its cards right, the team could walk away with a few new players and a load of draft picks.
