The Toronto Raptors recently made a blockbuster trade in dealing Pascal Siakam.
Getting three first-round picks and Bruce Brown for an expiring contract was a major haul, especially considering the fact that Pascal Siakam let everybody around the league know that he was going to test free agency.
Whatever the case, the Raptors now have a reigning NBA champion in their ranks, a proven veteran who has had his fair share of stellar teammates.
That’s why he’s an authorized voice to talk about special talents and why people should take notice of his words on Scottie Barnes.
Following their loss to the Chicago Bulls, Brown called Barnes a top-tier superstar in the NBA (Via Josh Lewenberg and NBA Central).
“He’s a top tier superstar in this league,” Brown said about Scottie Barnes.

Of course, perhaps this was a bit of a stretch, but no one can deny that the former NBA Rookie of the Year is a top-tier talent; that’s for sure.
Barnes plays hard on both ends of the floor.
He can run the offense as a primary playmaker, knock down shots from all three levels, and has proven to be a stellar defender, both on and off the ball and in the fast-break.
The Raptors will now build their team around the Florida State product and rightfully so, and it’ll be nice to watch his development and whether he can live up to Browns’ compliment.
