The Toronto Raptors appear to finally be embracing a potential rebuild as they dealt away OG Anunoby recently in exchange for Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett.
For almost two seasons, the league has been trying to pry away players from the Raptors who appear to need a reset and the organization finally made a move.
However, all eyes have now shifted on Pascal Siakam who’s in the last year of his deal and is set to hit unrestricted free agency this summer.
Siakam has been playing at a near All-Star level during the 2023-24 NBA season, but his future in Toronto appears to be coming to an end after the two sides didn’t agree to an extension.
The most likely scenario is that the Raptors look to move off of Siakam and there are several teams interested in acquiring the star forward.
One intriguing team to look out for is the Philadelphia 76ers via Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report.
“The Philadelphia 76ers are a ‘prime team’ to monitor in the Pascal Siakam sweepstakes,” Haynes said.

The 76ers sit in third in the Eastern Conference but some might argue that their regular season success only means so much given their postseason struggles.
Reigning MVP Joel Embiid is having another strong year, while Tyrese Maxey has taken a leap and is poised to make his first All-Star team.
Philadelphia could very well compete with the roster they have now, but adding someone like Siakam definitely raises their ceiling.
However, the team could also wait until the offseason when they can open up plenty of cap space and sign Siakam outright.
