Vince Carter’s NBA legacy is a complicated one.
His longevity was what turned him from a very good player into a legendary one.
Carter is the only player to play in four different decades (90s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s).
That gives him his rightful place in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
With that in mind, Chandler Parsons asked him which jersey he would wear for his Hall of Fame induction if he could choose one (Via FanDuel and Basketball on X).
“Toronto, Toronto, Toronto. It has to be, it’s where it all started. Yes, I had great years in Jersey, but it started there,” Carter said.

Carter didn’t even hesitate to state that he would love to represent the Toronto Raptors.
This is far from a surprise, as he became a star there.
He claimed that it was where it all started and where he gained the confidence to become the player he wound up being for the remainder of his long career.
His tenure up north wasn’t long, but he planted the seed that eventually led to the growth in Canadian basketball we’re seeing nowadays.
Carter put Canadian basketball on the map and brought people to their feet.
