It’s been an interesting few days for Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks.
Late last week, Young didn’t play with the team after an off-court argument with his head coach.
In fact, he wasn’t even in the arena during that game.
Following that, Young and his Hawks were beaten by the Oklahoma City Thunder, with Young scoring 23 points and 10 assists.
But that loss paled in comparison to a very shocking 24-point defeat by the New York Knicks on Wednesday night.
Hawks practice updates:
Trae Young did not practice today. He woke up this morning not feeling well and he stayed back at the team hotel. They will see how he feels tomorrow.
Dejounte Murray will get an MRI on his ankle today. They should know more about him later today.

And now Young might sit out from Friday night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets.
NBA writer Lauren Williams reported that Young woke up feeling ill and stayed at the team’s hotel, sitting out of team practice.
The Hawks will see how Young is feeling tomorrow before they make a final decision.
Because of the argument he had with Nate McMillan last week, some people are speculating that Young might be sitting out not because he’s sick, but because he’s unhappy with his coach and his team.
Yearning For More Young
The Hawks want Young when they battle against the surging Nets, who sit one place ahead of them in the Eastern Conference.
He hasn’t been having his best season but he is still good for 27.2 points, 3 rebounds, and 9.5 assists a game.
Hopefully if Young is sick, he gets over it quickly.
And if he is growing unhappy with the team, that should be addressed too.
The team is in a better position than they have been in years, with Young, Clint Capela, De’Andre Hunter, John Collins, and newcomer Dejounte Murray forming a strong squad that is playoff-ready.
Sadly, Murray may also be facing time off soon as he is undergoing an MRI for his hurt ankle.
