The Portland Trail Blazers have one of the greatest shooters of all time in their ranks.
Of course, people always talk about Stephen Curry — and rightfully so — when discussing the GOAT shooter, but it seems like Lillard had the upper hand when it comes to shots from way downtown.
Lillard has made a habit out of sinking shots from the logo or way beyond 30+ feet.
So, even though Curry might get the nod as the ultimate shooter and most efficient volume three-point shooter this game has ever seen, Lillard has the longest range.
At least, that’s what controversial sports analyst Skip Bayless seems to think.
Bayless made a point as to how superior Lillard is when it comes to knocking down threes from way downtown, going as far as to call him the greatest deep shooter he’s ever seen.
While Skip’s comments always need to be taken with a grain of salt — especially when he talks about players he doesn’t like, such as Curry — he might as well be right on point with this assessment.

“Damian Lillard is the greatest deep shooter I’ve ever seen,” Bayless said. I’m talking about deep threes; logo threes; they’re effortlessly shot. They’re shot like they’re free throws, and he has slightly more range than Stephen Curry.”
Even Lillard claimed once that he feels like he’s the second-best shooter in NBA history, or more like a 1B to Stephen Curry’s 1A.
Steph’s otherworldly shooting, high arc, and quick release have helped him shatter every single three-point-related mark in the league, so it’s hard to envision someone else being better than him at making shots from beyond the arc.
But Lillard sure deserves his flowers, and it’s time we start praising him as the great shooter he is.
