The Portland Trail Blazers are free-falling.
According to The Athletic, they weren’t able to win a single game in February.
And while the league was in a halt for a week for the All-Star Break, that’s still not good at all.

It seemed like Chauncey Billups’ team was trending in the right direction.
Win or lose, they had been competitive, but they weren’t able to keep that momentum going.
They’ve struggled with injuries as well, with key guys like Malcolm Brogdon, Shadeon Sharpe, Scoot Henderson, and Deandre Ayton missing several games.
Even so, Henderson has been far from impressive in his first season in the league.
Of course, some players need more time to get a hold of NBA basketball, but not even demoting him to the second unit has helped him be more efficient and less erratic in leading the offense.
Anfernee Simons and Shaedon Sharpe are potential building blocks, and the team could look to flip Jerami Grant’s massive deal or Malcolm Brodgon’s contract into more assets for the future.
Then again, it seems like it’ll be a long while before this team is even close to playoff contention.
Billups has left a lot to be desired in his first stint as a head coach, and the fact that the young players haven’t shown a lot in terms of development could make this team reconsider his future with the organization at the end of the season, especially if losses continue to pile up at this rate.
