Malcolm Brogdon has only been with the Portland Trail Blazers since the start of the season but he could soon be packing his bags and heading to another team.
Michael Scotto is reporting, via Evan Sidery, that the Blazers have an asking price in mind for the former Rookie of the Year.
According to Scotto, the Blazers want “at least a first-round pick” for Brogdon.
Portland is prioritizing its young guards so they are willing to say goodbye to Brogdon after only a few months.
League executives believe the Trail Blazers’ asking price for Malcolm Brogdon is at least a first-round pick, per @MikeAScotto (https://t.co/oIPSUpLCQ4).

Brogdon has recorded 15.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 5.3 assists in 2023-24.
As usual, he has been a terrific mix of talent, experience, and leadership but the Blazers are focusing more on the young core they are building.
It’s been an interesting, whirlwind few months for Brogdon.
Just last summer, he was voted NBA Sixth Man of the Year and was doing wonderful things for the Boston Celtics.
But the Celtics made a lot of considerable modifications in the summer and Brogdon was shipped away in the midst of them.
When he landed in Portland, many people in the fanbase imagined him remaining there for years.
But Portland’s priorities have changed and their roadmap to the future centers around youth.
By trading him for a first-round draft pick, the Blazers would double down on their desire to keep adding young stars to the roster.
They have moved on from Damian Lillard and are obviously looking to continue building something special, slowly but surely.
The Blazers currently have a 13-31 record and are the 14th seed in the Western Conference.
There is a chance that they will part ways with Brogdon and perhaps some other players in the next few weeks.
