The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a health scare in last night’s playoff loss, as Russell Gage Jr. was ushered off to the hospital during the game.
This was a traumatic experience for Gage and the Buccaneers alike as much was unknown about his health condition moving forward.
However, we received some positive news this afternoon from the source himself.
I appreciate all of the texts, calls, thoughts and prayers you all have expressed towards my family and I. I just wanted to let you all know that I’m doing great and in great spirits!
Thank you!🙏🏾

Gage has reassured his teammates, family, and fans that he is doing well, both mentally and physically.
While his status for the 2023 season is unknown at this time, the good news is that Gage is alert and feeling positive.
Gage signed a three-year contract with the Buccaneers this offseason and is linked to the team through the 2024 season.
After starting his career with four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, Gage’s signing with the Buccaneers is an omen of great things to come.
The Buccaneers have developed some great wide receiver talents in the last ten years, as Mike Evans and Chris Godwin have routinely been top-20 receivers in the league.
Having Tom Brady as your quarterback doesn’t hurt, either.
With the quarterback position hanging in the balance for the Buccaneers for 2023 and beyond, it is unknown who will be throwing Gage the football moving forward.
What we do know, is that he’s in good hands at the moment and that he is safe and healthy.
At least for now, that is the best news heading into the 2023 season, and the only news that is necessary for Gage and the Buccaneers to move forward.
