No one really knows the reason behind him stepping away from training camp.
All that was said is that he left due to personal reasons.
However, head coach Todd Bowles did mention that Brady would be back after their preseason game against the Tennessee Titans.
Brady fulfilled that timetable and he is now ready for action.
After all, he doesn’t need much to prepare for the upcoming season.
He has been in the league for more than two decades and he is also taking care of his body as much as possible.
With Brady back, he can then go back to work with his teammates, especially those that they’ve added this offseason like Russell Gage and Julio Jones.
Likewise, his job as the team’s starter wasn’t in danger at all because Blaine Gabbert and Kyle Trask will not surpass him.
In fact, his absence solidified his importance because the Buccaneers dropped both preseason games.
After losing to the Miami Dolphins in Week 1, 26-24, Tampa Bay fell to the Titans, 13-3.
Last Preseason Game For The Buccaneers
Brady and the Bucs will face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3 of the preseason.
That’s the last tune-up game before they start the season against the Dallas Cowboys on September 11.
The 45-year-old quarterback will likely participate in one sequence before Bowles pulls him out.
That’s how much he needs to get back in rhythm.
As for motivation, all Brady needs to remember is that Divisional Round loss at home to eventual Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams.
They nearly had a comeback in that game but the Rams had other plans.
