The Toronto Raptors have struggled to stay at their best throughout the season.
Despite being a perennial playoff team and boasting a combination of youth and experience, and plenty of talent, it seems like their current roster has already peaked.
There have been rumors of discontent between the veterans and coach Nick Nurse, and their contract situation makes them potential trade targets.
That’s why it’s not a surprise to see ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Raptors are heating up in talks of potential transactions.
Many conversations in the league are going through one team today: the Toronto Raptors.

With the trade deadline just a couple of days away, the Canadian side could look to part ways with most of its veterans, who’ll gauge plenty of league-wide interest among contenders.
Pascal Siakam, Gary Trent Jr., Fred VanVleet, and O.G. Anunoby are the players most likely to be moved, with Masai Ujiri looking to recoup as many draft picks as he can for their talented core.
Scottie Barnes will lead the new era in Canada, and there have been rumblings about the team parting ways with their coach at the end of the season as well.
Needless to say, there could be a huge bidding war for those players, especially Anunoby, who’s been deemed as the best potential trade target this season.
As for Siakam and VanVleet, they’re expected to fetch at least one future first-round pick each, so the future in Canada could be quite promising after some tumultuous years ahead of them.
So, let’s keep an eye on the team up north, as things could get pretty wild in the next few hours.
