The New Orleans Pelicans easily took down the Houston Rockets on Sunday night, cruising to a 130-105 victory at home.
It was another impressive night for the team that so many people had written off just months ago.
One of the highlights of the game came from Pelicans player Jaxson Hayes, who created an All-Star-worthy dunk in the fourth quarter.

That’s right, Hayes produced a monster between-the-legs dunk as the Pelicans were already destroying the Rockets.
Needless to say, the jam got the crowd hyped up and showcased just how great a season Hayes has been having.
Hayes Having A Moment
Right now, Hayes is averaging 8.8 points and 4.2 rebounds a game.
On paper, those might not look like the most jaw-dropping numbers but He has been playing with enthusiasm, grit, and the sort of spirit and attitude that the Pelicans need as they continue to make gains in the West.
You have to remember that New Orleans’ season has been decimated by injuries, especially to their biggest star, Zion Williamson.
In order for the team to keep moving forward, they will need a lot of help from players such as Hayes.
On Sunday, Hayes came alive and showed a new side of himself.
He ended the game with 21 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and even put up a couple of three-pointers too.
Aside from Hayes’ dominant night, there was other good news for Pelicans fans.
Williamson was sitting courtside during the game and was interacting with fans and cheering on his teammates.
Those were the actions of someone who is happy to be in New Orleans and suggest that maybe he really will come back to the team once he is finally healed.
Because of this, it was a good night all around for the Pelicans.
