There is a lot of young talent playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers but Darius Garland might be the best.
Garland has been having a stellar season with an average of 21.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 8.7 assists a game while shooting 46% from the field and 37% from beyond the three-point line.
And now he has scored an incredible franchise record.

Garland has now delivered 170 assists in the month of March, the most by a Cavs player in a single month.
It’s obvious that Garland is really having a season for the record books – and it’s ensuring he will be in Cleveland for the foreseeable future.
For The Land
The Cavs are now in playoff contention after a few seasons of being stuck at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.
They are currently the seventh seed in the East with a record of 42-35.
That’s a bit of a dip from earlier in the season, when they climbed as high as the third seed.
But multiple injuries have slowed the team’s surge – although they are quite strong.
The young roster with the core of Garland, Jarrett Allen, and Evan Mobley is one of the most exciting in the NBA and certainly looks like the future of the team.
That’s why the latest reports say that Cleveland is planning to sign Garland to a max contract in the summer.
That could complicate things for the future of Caris LeVert and Collin Sexton – it’s unlikely Cleveland could afford everyone.
But the Cavs know they have something special with Garland and will do whatever it takes to keep him – and build their future around him.
Garland has had a stunning season – it’s time to see what he can do in the postseason.
