On Saturday, the Cleveland Cavaliers faced the Houston Rockets and Donovan Mitchell suffered a tough injury during the game.
Mitchell sustained a nasal fracture during Cleveland’s loss to the Rockets and is expected to miss some time because of it.
According to Shams Charania, Mitchell just had a procedure for the nasal fracture and will be re-evaluated in one week.

Mitchell’s injury came when his teammate Tristan Thompson accidentally elbowed him in the face.
It happened during Thompson’s first game back after a 25-game suspension for violating the league’s anti-drug program.
The Cavaliers will now have to find a way to win without Mitchell, especially because they are the third seed in the East right now with a 43-25 record and are hoping to hold onto that spot.
Cleveland took down the Indiana Pacers on Monday night and next face the Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves in the days ahead.
If all goes well, Mitchell might be able to make his return next week when the Cavaliers play against the Charlotte Hornets twice.
The nose injury isn’t the only one that Mitchell is working through.
He is also attempting to recover from a knee injury and recently missed seven games as he healed from a left knee bone bruise.
All season long, the Cavaliers have been trying to work through a slew of bad injuries that have come at the worst times.
Luckily for them, they have been able to push through multiple absences and have had a very strong year.
But the regular season is starting to wind down and they really need Mitchell and everyone else healthy as the postseason begins.
Hopefully, this is the last injury the team will suffer in 2023-24.
