The last few months have been downright exhausting for the Brooklyn Nets, the players on the team, and the fans who support them.
You can really blame Kevin Durant for most of the fatigue because it was his trade request that caused so many headaches.
Of course, Durant eventually came around to the idea of staying with the Nets and attempting another season with the struggling franchise.
He wants to move on and he wants fans to be excited again.

They do have a few reasons to be cautiously optimistic and one of them is Ben Simmons.
Simmons has yet to play a game with the Nets since being traded from the Philadelphia 76ers at the beginning of the year.
He sounds like he’s very ready to play, saying, “This team right now is a great fit for what I do and what I bring to the game.”
It’s been an awfully long time since Simmons was a part of positive headlines but he is ready to make quite a few in the new season.
All Smiles From Simmons
Some people have forgotten that Simmons really is a pretty darn good basketball player.
Yes, his time with the 76ers ended badly and the drama that followed made him look quite bad but, before that, he was putting up impressive numbers.
His career average is 15.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.7 assists.
The alleged plan is to have Simmons working on facilitating plays and passing the ball well while Durant and Kyrie Irving sink shots from all over the court.
The Nets could do a lot with Simmons on board, healthy and happy to be there.
