Have the Brooklyn Nets and Kevin Durant really put the past behind them?
Are they truly ready to move forward and forget the exhausting summer they experienced together?
Or are they just going to play nice while both sides secretly steam below the surface?

The Nets released a tweet featuring Durant in the gym, practicing his shot and smiling for the cameras.
This is the first time we have witnessed Durant smile in a long time and fans of the team are grateful to see him happy on the Nets’ court.
The upcoming season is going to be a big one for Brooklyn and Durant.
If they can really move past all the drama, great things may be in store.
No More Durant Drama
The NBA world was rocked in June when it was announced that Durant had demanded a trade from the Nets and was incredibly unhappy with his team.
For weeks after that, endless speculation about Durant’s future reigned but ultimately he would come to terms with the Nets and agree to return to the team.
Some fear that all that unpleasantness can’t really be put in the past and that the two sides won’t work well together moving forward.
It’s important that they do because the Nets need to have a strong presence in the East and overcome the postseason issues they’ve experienced.
Fans of the team were promised greatness and expected championship wins when Durant and Kyrie Irving joined.
So far, they haven’t gotten them.
All of that could come and the Nets may still be wonderful.
If they really are working as a unit with a happy and healthy Durant running things, the Nets could truly become the team they promised to be.
