The Brooklyn Nets could have enjoyed great success over the past few years behind the dynamic duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
Unfortunately, the Nets failed to capitalize on the opportunity, and both players demanded a trade from the organization last season.
Following their short superteam era, the Nets headed into a rebuilding phase with Jacque Vaughn as the head coach.
However, the experiment failed, and the Nets recently fired Vaughn to begin a new era for the franchise.
Keeping that in mind, NBA insider Jake Fischer reported via Yahoo Sports on Twitter that GM Sean Marks could be sacked by the Nets as well.
“There is mounting speculation among league personnel about whether Sean Marks could follow Jacque Vaughn out the door,” Fischer reported.

Marks has been the general manage of the Nets since 2016.
But under his leadership, the franchise has continued to struggle.
It’s evident from the fact that the Nets have a 290-346 losing record since Marks took over as the team’s general manager.
Considering the Nets are potentially heading toward a new era with Mikal Bridges as the cornerstone player of the franchise, Fischer believes Marks could be shown the door following the firing of Vaughn.
Marks’ inability to build a competent roster around Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden will most likely play a crucial role if he gets fired by the Nets.
As of now, the Nets have a 21-33 record and they are the 11th seed in the highly competitive Eastern Conference.
