After getting the best of the Boston Celtics in the knockout round of the In-Season Tournament earlier this week, Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers have advanced to the next round, where they’ll go head-to-head against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks in Las Vegas, Nevada.
With the Pacers advancing to the next round and coming one step closer to winning the first-ever NBA Cup, there’s been a lot of attention given to the new face of the Indiana franchise, as he’s really made a name for himself this season as one of the best players in the league.
Unlike other stars in the league, Haliburton had an unorthodox path to NBA stardom throughout his basketball career, as he claims he was a “no-star” player in high school, which means it was that much harder for him to get to where he is today, via ClutchPoints.

Although Haliburton has made an impact ever since he came into the league with the Sacramento Kings in 2020, he has taken his game to another level entirely during his time with the Pacers, with the 23-year-old quickly becoming a household name.
In 17 games played so far this season, Haliburton has improved in nearly every category compared to his first full season with the Pacers last year.
Haliburton is averaging 26.9 points, 11.9 assists (1st in the NBA), and 4.0 rebounds per game while shooting 52.1% from the floor and 44.7% from beyond the arc.
The young star is well on his way to a second straight All-Star appearance while also potentially coming out on top in the In-Season Tournament and turning the Pacers into a force to be reckoned with this season.
