The upcoming NBA season is only a couple of months away and training camp is quickly approaching yet we still don’t know what’s going on with Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz.
For weeks now, speculation has reigned about Mitchell’s future, with many people assuming the star player will be traded before tip-off in October.
Yet, for all the rumors and headlines and tweets from insiders, nothing definitive has come to light.
We do know this: the Jazz are asking for a lot in exchange for Mitchell.
They won’t part ways with their superstar unless they are getting a huge haul for him.
The Jazz remain steadfast on what they want in return for Donovan Mitchell, sources tell @Tjonesonthenba.
A bushel of unprotected first-round picks and young players on manageable contracts that come with a significant amount of team control.

In fact, sources inside the league state that “the Jazz remain steadfast on what they want in return for Donovan Mitchell.”
Any proposal should include “a bushel of unprotected first-round picks and young players on manageable contracts that come with a significant amount of team control.”
Is there any way the Jazz will have these demands met?
Will Mitchell Remain?
This current situation with Mitchell is starting to feel an awful lot like the one that surrounded Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets.
The Nets were willing to pack Durant’s bags but only if they got a trade package that was above and beyond, a true blockbuster that shook up the league and gutted another team.
We all know how that ended up.
There is a good chance that will happen with the Jazz: they want a lot and they won’t get it and, therefore, Mitchell will stay in Salt Lake.
However, don’t put it past another team, such as the New York Knicks or Miami Heat, to crave up their entire roster and a treasure trove of draft picks in order to get Mitchell.
