The Boston Celtics have established themselves as one of the best teams in the 2023-24 NBA season.
They remain the number one seed in the Eastern Conference with a 38-12 record this campaign.
On the other hand, the Phoenix Suns were expected to have a similar season in the Western Conference, but they are currently the sixth seed as of now.
Despite having two contrasting seasons, both teams are apparently interested in one Utah Jazz player.
According to a report by The Athletic via Legion Hoops on Twitter, the Suns and Celtics are interested in trading for Jazz veteran Simone Fontecchio.

Fontecchio is currently playing the second season of his NBA career with the Jazz.
In the 2023-24 NBA season, he is averaging 8.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.
On top of that, he is shooting 45.0% from the field and 39.1% from the three-point line.
Considering he is a 28-year-old, any championship contender in the league could use his services.
After all, the Jazz are currently the 10th seed in the Western Conference with a 26-26 record this season.
It is more than obvious that the Jazz are currently not in a position to win the 2024 NBA Championship.
On the other hand, teams like the Celtics or the Suns could use a veteran with elite shooting ability come playoff time.
As of now, there is no confirmation about Fontecchio getting traded to either team, but with the trade deadline approaching fast, it won’t be a surprise if a trade gets announced soon.
