The chances of Donovan Mitchell leaving the Utah Jazz are only getting larger and larger.
A few months ago, the Jazz vowed that Mitchell wasn’t going anywhere.
Well, the offseason can make people change their minds.
Now it seems like the Jazz are not only very open to the idea of losing Mitchell but actively welcoming any and all proposals to make a trade happen.
It now feels like Mitchell has almost definitely played his last game for the Jazz.

For weeks, the New York Knicks have been frontrunners to land Mitchell but we are hearing that other teams are now getting into the mix.
That includes the Cleveland Cavaliers, who have “touched base” with the Jazz about a Mitchell trade recently, according to Ian Begley.
Does Cleveland make sense for Mitchell – and does the team have what it takes to get a trade done?
Mitchell In The Midwest
Mitchell would make some noise and have an impact on just about any team in the NBA.
Yes, you can picture him fitting pretty well into the Cavaliers’ lineup.
However, the team would have to part with quite a few assets to make this happen.
That makes one wonder if it’s really worth it.
Collin Sexton would certainly be gone if Cleveland wanted Mitchell and you could bet that Jarrett Allen would also be a possible trade chip.
Plus any and all draft picks the Cavaliers have would be in danger of moving to Utah.
So, Cleveland’s front office will need to pony up a lot for Mitchell.
Would that be worth it?
Cavaliers fans are famously very loyal to their team – will they want to carve it up for Mitchell?
