It sounds like all the drama around the Brooklyn Nets has come to an end.
After a few days of constant Kyrie Irving rumors followed by Kevin Durant rumors, it looks like everything is settled down.
Both Irving and Durant are going to stick around and the Nets will once again attempt to make it far into the postseason and live up to their potential.
Most people assumed that Durant was happy to hear Irving would remain in Brooklyn.
But Skip Bayless wasn’t one of them.
Just a guess: There has to be part of Kevin Durant – maybe a pretty big part – that's thinking, "I wish he'd opted out so I could be done with him."

Following news of Irving’s return, Bayless logged onto Twitter to make his opinion about Irving known:
“Just a guess: There has to be part of Kevin Durant – maybe a pretty big part – that’s thinking, ‘I wish he’d opted out so I could be done with him.'”
Even if Bayless is right about Durant’s thoughts we will never know because Durant so vehemently dislikes the analyst that he’d never confirm anything.
Plus, shouldn’t Durant be 100% happy with this outcome because his team has another chance to achieve greatness?
Brooklyn Is Back
The Nets fell short – very short – of their goals last season.
In fact, they were the only team to get swept in the playoffs when the Boston Celtics took them out in the first round.
But a lot of things led to that, including Irving’s regular absences early in the season due to his COVID vaccine stance and an injury that sidelined Durant for weeks.
Plus, Ben Simmons never even played a game after getting traded to the team.
In the upcoming season, all of that hopefully won’t be holding them back.
Therefore, the Nets will finally be the team that fans have been waiting for.
Does that mean they are finally bound for the NBA Finals?
