Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies is one of the NBA’s brightest young stars, and he entertains fans on a nightly basis with his explosiveness and ability to go on fantastic scoring binges.
But right now, he has come under fire after a video of him during an Instagram Live session surfaced in which he was holding up a gun at a nightclub.
The Grizzlies have announced that Morant will miss at least two games as a result.
He released a statement in which he apologized, took full responsibility for his actions and said he would get help.

Fans were disgusted about the incident, and they even suggested that the star guard has issues.
He's stressed out so he goes to a strip club with a gun? 😂. That's a wild support system that kid has.

However, this fan tried to stick up for Morant.

This comes at a fairly inopportune time, as the Grizzlies are looking to hold off the surging Sacramento Kings and remain in second place in the Western Conference.
Their next two games will be on the road versus the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers, two teams that are desperately trying to move up in the standings.
After that, Memphis will face the Golden State Warriors, who are expected to get Stephen Curry back, before a back-to-back set with Kyrie Irving, Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.
After running off an 11-game winning streak in late December and January, the team has won just seven of its last 18 contests.
Morant is having another stellar season, averaging 27.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game, and he made his second straight All-Star game this year.
The Grizzlies may have a shot at reaching the NBA Finals this season, but many feel they aren’t experienced or resourceful enough yet to win big games, especially in the playoffs.
